Many of our blog posts contain links and tips regarding external resources. I thought it would be helpful to create a resource page containing all these resources that you can bookmark for easy reference. I’ll add and remove resources in the future as I find them so keep checking back for updates.

Blogdesk is a desktop blogging tool that allows you to create and manage your WordPress posts within an easy to use desktop application.
Thesis Theme is a premium template system for WordPress.
WooThemes have a great collection of premium WordPress themes that are easy to customize and great value.
FlexSqueeze also have great flexible and customisable themes – both free and paid.
Remember if you’re purchasing hosting many hosting companies offer a free domain name so check out your hosting options before buying a domain name!
NameCheap provides cheap domain name registration, renewal & transfer.
GoDaddy also offers domain name registration & transfer.
Blue Host is a great hosting company with unlimited hostings accounts, one-click WordPress installation and a FREE domain name.
Host Gator also offers great hosting packages with one-click WordPress installation.
Powweb is another super hosting company with unlimited hosting, free domain, one-click WordPress installation and Google Adwords credits.
Email List Management
Aweber is one of the leading Email marketing providers. Aweber allows you to manage all your mailing list subscribers, signup forms, autoresponders, Email templates and reporting through their control panel and handles subscriptions, unsubscribes and Email delivery problems safely and efficiently.
MailChimp provides a service comparable with Aweber but you can store a list of up to 1000 subscribers and send up to 6000 emails a month free of charge.
GWA Autoresponder is an autoresponder plugin for managing your own mailing list within WordPress. There’s a free and pro versions available. Plugin autoresponders are cheaper than services such as Aweber but Aweber deals with delivery, reporting and preventing you being blocked for spamming much better.
WP Responder is another autoresponder plugin for WordPress allowing you to create unlimited lists and responders. Again be careful with plugin responders as they are more prone to Email delivery problems.
Blog Promotion Tools
Max Blog Press Ping Optimizer handles pinging search engine and ping services safely to prevent you being blocked for pinging too often.
Free Traffic System is a great network of blogs that allow you to create free backlinks to your blogs. Free Traffic System is not a link farm or seller of poor quality profile spam but a network of WordPress blogs in categories that allow you to create one way backlinks for free – highly recommended!
Market Samurai is a highly regarded keyword research tool and more – You can research niches, analyze competition, find products to monetize your niche and find and publish content on your blog all from within the program. Try the full version for free and when the trial period is over you can pay to retain all the features or just use the free features. The Market Samurai website also has lots of great content on blogging and marketing that you’d have to pay for elsewhere so well worth a visit.
Traffic Travis is a great tool for keyword and competition analysis. Free and Pro versions are available.
WebCEO is another great tool for researching niche markets, promoting your site and monitoring your rank and performance.
Google Adword Tool is a great tool for researching keywords and finding related keywords, search volumes and Adword cost per click.
SEOBook.com have a great range of tools for keyword research, SEO, rank checking as well as great tutorials.
Web Statistics & Analytics
Google Analytics provides an easy and free way to monitor visitors, pageviews and hundreds of other metrics for your web site.
Statcounter has free and paid accounts to log your web site traffic in near real time.
Woopra also has free and paid plans and offers live tracking and real-time statistics.
Outsourcing & Freelancers
VWorker is an international marketplace of workers providing everything from web design to link building services.
